Job Description:

The BDS Product Senior Analyst reports to the Global Ariba Product Manager and is responsible for business as usual operations of the Mars Ariba solution.

This role will require use of your skills to support the day-to-day issues and questions raised by our users as well as overseeing continuous improvements to the existing functionality.

You will be responsible for signing off on new changes and ensuring that the right people perform the right level of testing. You will deliver new functionality though our existing DevOps team, understanding the implications to the wider SAP environment will be a real advantage.


What are we looking for?

  • This role provides global technical and functional knowledge working in the Ariba SAP module and SAP procurement areas. This knowledge is mandatory both from a functional and design perspective.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with DevOps behaviors.

  • You will be working as part of a global team across three time zones (Asia Pacific, Europe, and Americas). You will primarily cover your own time zone but will be expected to do support in other regions when they are also online at the same time.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential.

  • Working knowledge of any of the following Beeline, Keelvar, HICX or Scanmarket would be beneficial but not essential.

  • Experience in S4/Hana, ITIL, PMI, Agile, DevOps, Scrum certifications will be a plus.

  • Good communication skills strong English is essential. Ability to deal with different types of stakeholders across the organization.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Manage the demand with the business (CIPs, projects, major incidents, special requests), including addressing escalation of incidents/requests/problems/demands from business.

  • Involvement on transformational programs/projects to provide functional and technical expertise, with design until go live of products, including Service Introduction role when needed.

  • Service management with 3rd Party vendors based on role model operational excellence, with overall accountability on the metrics for service (SLAs. Availability, performance, etc.)

  • Strong collaboration with business to translate business functional requirements into actual practical and working IT solution specifications and assuring a high level of satisfaction from our customers.

  • Manage and execute technical design, development and configuration activities for products and services in the Procurement area.

  • Supports the Solution architect and Enterprise Technologies design authority role for the Procurement area, assessing impacts and approving all the initiatives that are going to be related to products and services in this product team.

  • Seek highly automated solutions and new approaches across the business processes and internal processes.

  • Participate on new design for solutions, services, and products together with Functional Experts, Business stakeholders, Enterprise Architecture, Enterprise Technologies, Transformational programs, Strategic Functional Capabilities, Business Partnership, continuous improvement, evolution of the product and lifecycle management. etc.

  • Own change management activities, including new releases, change sign off for production slots, continuous improvement, evolution of the product and lifecycle management.

  • Create high added value documented solutions developed according to the defined rules in place, to assure global supportability and business continuity.

  • Participate and collaborate on a Community of Practices related to the functional and technical areas.
