Job Description:
Summary:
The Cloud IT Operations Engineer is responsible for administration of IT Cloud accounts including AWS, Azure and GCP. They manage various cloud resources, implement defined best practices and ensure that security practices are always followed.

Be responsible for the availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning.

Work in tandem with out DevOps & development teams to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions.

Manage infrastructure and cloud environments in accordance with security and compliance guidelines.

Automate infrastructure services through infrastructure-as-code (CDK, Terraform).

Develop a flexible infrastructure to promote Developer self-service, while promoting continuity across our overall environment.

Ensure redundancy and resilience of infrastructure and services while fostering continual performance improvement.

Design, implement, maintain, secure, and scale core shared infrastructure, environments, and platforms.

Maintaining a pulse on new technologies and discovering hidden opportunities in our environment.

Use technical expertise and experience to evaluate new industry technologies and assess their relevance to our needs.
What you’ll do:

Taking your knowledge of the role and the insights you gained from your kickoff - what are the top 4-5 things that this role will be doing and have ownership over.
Experience you’ll bring:
-
2+ years experience administration skills with AWS. Azure and GCP are a plus.

Minimum of 3-4 days per week in the office to provide on-site support and collaborate with team members.

Experience in information technology.
-
Strong decision-making and collaboration and teamwork skills.
-
Able to cultivate collaboration and manage expectations with various groups of technology and business experience.
Requirements:
-
Strong systems administration skills, especially with Windows & Linux Operating Systems.

Understanding of how to configure, deploy, run, and maintain large cloud-hosted systems, including auto-scaling, monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery.

Proven experience configuring AWS services (EC2, RDS, ECS, VPC, Route53, ELB, ALB, Lambda, Elasticache, CloudFront, Service Catalog, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, etc).

Solid understanding of network security and performance.

Knowledge of compliance frameworks (PCI, SOX, SOC 2, ISO 27001).

Strong scripting proficiency.
Travel Requirements:
While Pluralsight operates under a remote and hybrid work model, we believe that in-person connection and collaboration are important. Recurring travel to our HQ in Utah may be required depending on the role and team member location.
