What We'll Bring:
As a Consultant Database Administrator, you will play a critical role in managing, optimizing, and securing our clients' database systems. Your primary responsibility will be to provide expert guidance and hands-on support in the maintenance and performance tuning of DB2 and PostgreSQL databases. In addition, you will be responsible for writing complex SQL queries, creating and optimizing database schema, and ensuring the integrity and reliability of data.
What You'll Bring:
- Install, configure, and maintain DB2 and PostgreSQL database systems.
- Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to safeguard data.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to support database-related projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
- Perform routine database backups, restoration, and disaster recovery procedures.
Impact You'll Make:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator with a focus on DB2 and PostgreSQL.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and the ability to write complex queries.
- Knowledge of database security and data protection best practices.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Certification in DB2, PostgreSQL, or a related database technology.
- Experience with other relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with cloud-based database services.
- Knowledge of database automation and orchestration tools.
This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.
