ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The position is directly responsible for designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test plans to ensure the quality and functionality of our software products. This role requires extensive experience in API and UI testing, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Agile methodologies. The role also requires extensive experience in QA methodologies, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Additionally, the role requires experience in AI testing methodologies to enhance test coverage and efficiency through AI-driven techniques.
The role also requires excellent understanding of technical applications and configurations, including how systems interact, interface with each other, and manage data flows. The candidate should be capable of analyzing system integration points, understanding data models, and validating data consistency across applications.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

• Review requirements and specifications and define test conditions
• Design and execute manual test cases for applications that are not suitable for automation
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden issues and edge cases
• Validate application functionality through hands-on testing across different environments and configurations
• Document test results and provide detailed feedback to development teams
• Ensure test coverage for legacy systems and applications with limited automation support
• Analyze and validate interfaces and data flows between integrated systems.
• Understand and test technical configurations, including environment setups and system parameters.
• Perform end-to-end testing of integrated systems, including backend services and data pipelines.
• Use SQL and data querying tools to validate data integrity and transformations.
• Work closely with the architecture and development teams to deliver business functionality on time with required quality that meets the acceptance criteria
• Perform UI testing to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Knowledge of AI techniques for test case generation, test optimization, and defect prediction
• Ability to design and implement AI-driven solutions for automated test case creation
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in internal and cross-team meetings, project scoping, functional reviews, Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues.
• Continuously improve QA processes and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
• Estimate and perform risk analysis for quality delivery
• Prepare and present test reports and metrics to management.
• Perform other tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a QA Test Engineer or Analyst or similar role
• Excellent knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Excellent experience in manual testing of complex business applications.
• Ability to identify test scenarios and edge cases without relying on automation.
• Experience in exploratory testing and defect identification.
• Experience of testing complex integrated software systems
• Excellent knowledge in API testing and experience of working with REST and SOAP services, as well as understanding of SOA architecture
• Experience in design and development of automated API tests using automation tools (e.g. Postman/Newman) across the application layers (Service/Data layers) and root cause analysis
• Excellent understanding of application architecture and system integration
• Experience with enterprise integration tools and middleware (e.g., ESB, API gateways)
• Proficiency in data analysis and understanding of data models relevant to the applications under test
• Experience with ETL processes, data pipelines, and data validation techniques
• Exposure of Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices is a plus
• Exposure of Behavior Driven Development (BDD) is a plus
• Experience with SQL databases, writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and RDBMS, will be a plus.
• Experience with Tricentis TOSCA test suite is a plus
• Experience with AI-driven testing tools is a plus
• Experience in integrating AI solutions into existing testing frameworks
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices

OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS

• Fluency in spoken and written English with additional languages considered an asset
