Job Purpose:

To plan, own, and drive continuous quality across product development teams. Establish required automation frameworks, coach and mentor quality engineers in standardizing testing practice,s and providing quality assurance

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review and understand end-to-end business requirements, Systems/Applications design, and Integrations to establish a forward-looking continuous quality framework that supports product development at ISS.
• Establish a unified testing strategy to incorporate a range of program workstreams, coordinating the delivery of a coherent approach to testing, and communicating/coordinating this with cross-business stakeholders.
• Establish a quality assurance framework to promote automation testing and enhance engineering efficiency by addressing issues at the source and arresting their propagation to the next stage in the product development lifecycle.
• Evaluate and establish software quality engineering standards and recommend best-in-class tools and frameworks. 
• Develop the test automation framework, harnesses, and code libraries so that the team can utilize and improve them across many projects.
• Take charge of test infrastructure, including environments and software, and collaborate with teams like DevOps and Support on CI/CD.
• Provide direction and technical expertise in establishing quality consciousness early on in the product development cycle
• Must provide technical training to teams when required and serve as a technical mentor to Quality Engineers
• Must ensure teams follow the correct procedures, policies, and documentation requirements across the product development life cycle
• Guide product teams through the development, testing, and implementation stages and review the completed work effectively, and be the approving authority for production releases
• Ensure continuous quality engineering efficiencies with a growth mindset and a steady improvement in associated metrics
• Focus on capability building in Quality Engineering technologies and build in class Quality Engineering team with continuous upskilling and cross-skilling
• Able to make quick decisions and solve technical problems to provide an efficient environment for solution delivery 

Knowledge

• Any Professional degree in computer science
• Extensive Technical skills covering Products, Technologies, and Competitive knowledge.
• It’s not sufficient to be a specialist in any one area or technology and requires a wide and deep understanding of a gamut of technologies and tools
• Knowledge of current industry-wide Quality & Test processes and practices, Tools, and techniques
• Test maturity models to ensure Quality of deliverables across all parameters, both functional and non-functional, including performance, security, usability, etc.
• Modern testing practices promote continuous testing with shift shift-left approach.
• Test Driven Development methodology
• Agile product management tools: Jira, Confluence
• DevOps tools: Bitbucket/GitHub, Sonar Cube, Team City, Selenium
• Knowledge of maritime, Finance, Supply chain and logistics (desirable)

Skills

• Dynamic leadership of a Quality Engineering function
• Test Automation, Test Driven Development methodology, Shift Left testing principles
• Selenium, C#, Jest, Xunit, Sonar Cloud, Resharper, Test Rail, etc..
• Effective verbal & written communication skills in English
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving solving and troubleshooting skills

Experience

• 12+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a product development environment using both manual and automation testing, covering functional and non-functional requirements
• 5+ years of leadership experience in handling a team of 10+ Quality Engineers
• Certified Software Quality Engineer with an excellent understanding of TMMi
• Experience in handling continuous quality in a complete DevOps setup, leveraging CI/CD
