Join us as a Network Infrastructure Engineer

What you'll do

As a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll contribute to and manage the selection, creation, and maintenance of technologies required to meet the needs of our customers, strategic targets, and architecture outcomes, along with developing products using modern engineering practices and tools. You’ll proactively contribute improvement ideas, as well as challenge and review designs, solutions, and architectural decisions. You’ll also contribute to CI/CD pipelines for network automation and configuration.

Collaborating with Product Owners, you’ll develop product roadmaps and manage the lifecycle of the team's products. You’ll support engineered products to respond to customer feedback and new feature requests, resolve production issues, and help customers consume our products. You’ll also conduct technical peer reviews of network changes and deployments to ensure quality and consistency.

Additionally, you’ll:

  • Work within a team to design and engineer intuitive, self-service infrastructure products and lead and drive standards for the Meraki network
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and get to the root cause while providing potential work arounds to restore service
  • Develop technical skills through continuous learning and development and contribute to the delivery of infrastructure as code solutions
  • Document network architecture, changes, and operational procedures and participate in Change and Incident Management processes in line with bank governance standards and ITIL best practices
  • Build an awareness of design thinking tools and techniques with users in order to improve your product and provide operational support for pattern or product related issues
  • Work with key vendors in the delivery of the infrastructure services and technology for the product
The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with extensive hands-on experience managing large enterprise network environments with 10,000+ devices. You’ll have a background in the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-grade networks using Cisco and Arista platforms and you’ll have experience with Arista Fabric with VxLAN on-prem deployment and Traditional Cisco enterprise deployment. You’ll also have knowledge of layer 2 and 3 protocols to build scalable and resilient networks covering STP, OSPF, BGP, VxLAN, and EVPN.

Along with experience with the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-grade Meraki networks, you’ll be familiar with dashboard admin and management, the deployment of MX covering Templates, site-to-site VPN, and Security Policies, MS access and distribution layers, and MR Wi-Fi design and troubleshooting.  

In addition to this, we’re looking for:

  • Experience with multicast technologies and their interoperation across Cisco and Arista (VxLAN) platforms
  • The ability to work in high pressure environments, specifically responding to and leading on business impacting incidents
  • Experience working in an agile manner on both operations and projects, and the ability to work on your own and drive your own workstack as part of a larger team
  • Experience working in financial services environments, with knowledge of market data delivery and trader voice infrastructure
  • Strong collaborative communication skills for articulating technical concepts clearly to business and technical stakeholders
