Job responsibilities
- Execute standard software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
- Write secure and high-quality code using Java and other programming languages, with limited guidance.
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot applications, considering upstream and downstream systems and technical implications.
- Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) toolchain to enhance automation and value delivery.
- Perform technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and resolve basic complexity issues.
- Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
- Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for developing secure, stable code and systems.
- Contribute to a team culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java development, with exposure to artificial intelligence (AI) and large language models (LLMs).
- Practical experience in system design, application development, testing (including performance testing), and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Demonstrable ability to code in one or more languages
- Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, AI, machine learning, mobile).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue).
- Exposure to cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with performance testing tools and frameworks.
- Interest or experience in AI/ML and LLMs integration within enterprise applications.
