As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and community banking- JP wealth management, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
  • Executes software solutions, designs, develops, and troubleshoots technical issues, applying innovative thinking to build solutions and break down complex problems.
  • Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that operate synchronously with relevant systems.
  • Utilizes Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate frameworks to deliver robust applications.
  • Builds REST and SOAP web services using Java, ensuring scalability and reliability at internet scale.
  • Leverages Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS to deploy and manage applications efficiently.
  • Implements unit testing with JUnit and mock testing using Mockito to ensure code quality and reliability.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Design and implement systems, applications, and testing processes to ensure operational stability through hands-on practical experience.
  • Code proficiently in multiple programming languages, leveraging Java fullstack expertise to deliver robust solutions.
  • Develop, debug, and maintain code within large corporate environments using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Utilize build tools such as Maven and Gradle to streamline development and deployment workflows.
  • Build messaging and event-driven architectures to support scalable and responsive applications.
  • Work with multiple database platforms, including RDBMS and NoSQL, to optimize data storage and retrieval.
  • Apply strong skills in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and JSON to create dynamic and interactive web interfaces.
