Job Description
The selected candidate will:
Develop and manage system requirements, architecture, and design for M&S platforms.
Lead systems integration efforts involving software, hardware, and network components.
Coordinate with stakeholders to capture operational needs and translate them into technical specifications.
Ensure compliance with DoD systems engineering processes, including requirements traceability and verification.
Oversee system validation, testing, and performance assessment in live, virtual, and constructive environments.
Support the development of Interface Control Documents (ICDs), system specifications, and design artifacts.
Evaluate and implement simulation standards (e.g., HLA, DIS) and ensure interoperability across systems.
Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, and software teams to maintain secure and scalable architectures.
Contribute to proposal development, cost estimation, and program planning activities.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to systems engineering process improvement.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
7+ years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in defense or M&S domains.
Familiarity with simulation tools, frameworks, and standards (e.g., HLA, DIS, IEEE 1516).
Proficiency with systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, MagicDraw, JIRA, Confluence).
Strong understanding of DoD acquisition and systems engineering lifecycle.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
INCOSE CSEP certification or equivalent.
Experience with MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering).
Knowledge of DevSecOps, cloud integration, and cybersecurity compliance in M&S environments.
Background in simulation system testing and verification methodologies.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $118504 - $201457
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
