All about the role:
The Consumer Direct Interaction - Experience Organization (CDI XO) consists of a Digital Commerce and Digital Post Purchase domain with several Product Areas. We are seeking an experienced and motivated SAP Finance functional expert to join the Engineering team to lead the design and delivery of integrated solutions in the Finance domain (SAP ECC) within the Sales and Service product area.
This role acts as the architectural bridge between business requirements and technical implementation—ensuring cohesive, scalable, and future-proof solutions that enable accurate financial reporting, seamless consumer interactions, and efficient service operations. You will play a key role in defining finance-driven solution blueprints and aligning delivery teams toward a unified vision.
The ideal candidate comes with a wealth of experience delivering SAP ECC projects and initiatives. With a deep understanding of the Finance processes in conjunction with integrated solutions impacting finance, you will be pivotal in driving and delivering the key components of the overall CDI solution.
What you’ll do:
Own the Finance solution and all touchpoints within integrations and other functional areas of CDI eCommerce solutions.
Working closely with Product Owners, Architects, global counterparts and engineering teams.
Actively contribute to engineering and architectural discussions.
Gather and analyze business requirements, converting them into functional specifications and end-to-end SAP FI solutions considering upstream and downstream processes.
Configure core FI components within AP, AR, GL and CO.
Lead cross-domain solution design by integrating processes and technologies from SAP ECC (SD, MM, FI) with cloud-native services, consumer platforms, and third-party tools.
Coordinate with ABAP developers for custom reports, enhancements, user exits, and interfaces related to FI.
Drive full project lifecycle activities, including planning, blueprinting, realization, testing, cutover, and post-implementation support.
Develop and maintain process documentation, training materials, and user guides for key stakeholders and end users.
Identify process inefficiencies, recommending and implementing effective solutions.
Promote a culture of ownership, learning, and continuous improvement within the team.
Support estimation, planning, and allocation of tasks during sprint planning.
Drive standardization and reuse of integration patterns, APIs, and architectural components across projects and domains.
Support change management and training initiatives, ensuring successful adoption of SAP FI solutions across the business.
Ensure solutions adhere to data quality, compliance, and performance standards across systems and regions.
Who are you
10+ years of delivering SAP functional solutions (multiple full project life cycles).
SAP Certified in SAP FI modules.
Strong debugging skills and ABAP reading capabilities.
In-depth experience in integrating with major eCommerce platforms and Cloud solutions, including Field Service Management (FSM), Cloud for Customer (C4C), etc.
Proven ability to perform root cause analysis on integration issues across systems, spanning cloud platforms, middleware, and SAP landscapes.
Working with agile teams, including Scrum and leading delivery in a cross-functional environment.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills — able to interface with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and Business Analysts.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a bias toward action and accountability.
Advantageous to have hands-on experience with cloud-native architecture (preferably AWS/Azure) and integration of low-code and SaaS platforms; and familiarity with architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe).
This is a full-time position, based in Bangalore, India.
