About The Role:

The Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM) is responsible for overseeing and driving the sales (Sell In and Sell out) within a designated geographical zone, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, customer satisfaction, and the overall growth of the company's market share in that region. The ZSM will lead a team to manage all channels and work closely with other departments to deliver on the company's sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Team Leads and sales representatives within the zone to achieve sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to the zone’s market dynamics, customer base, and competition.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of sales team members, providing coaching and feedback for performance improvement.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and performance reviews with the sales team

Target Achievement & Revenue Growth:

  • Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets are met or exceeded within the region.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase sales volume, market penetration, and customer acquisition.

Retail marketing:

  • Manage stores manning
  • Implement Shop-boy program
  • Plan and strategize In-stores activations, visibility, and awareness
  • Vicinity marketing and OOH execution
  • Management of Leads

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and customers in the region.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve any service issues or escalations in a timely manner.

Market & Competitor Analysis:

  • Conduct regular market research to understand customer needs, competitor strategies, and market trends.
  • Adjust sales strategies to respond to changing market conditions, ensuring the company's competitive advantage.
  • Provide feedback to the marketing and product teams on customer needs and competitive landscape.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, outlining performance, achievements, challenges, and growth opportunities.
  • Track and analyze sales data, forecasting future sales trends and adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Ensure proper sales documentation and accurate reporting of transactions, customer interactions, and forecasts.

Training & Development:

  • Facilitate the training and development of sales staff on products, sales techniques, and company processes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the sales team.
  • Ensure all team members understand and adhere to the company's sales policies and procedures.

Collaboration with Other Departments:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies, campaigns, and materials.
  • Work with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery to customers.
  • Partner with the finance and accounts teams to manage billing, collections, and payment processes.

About You:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: Must have depth of experience of sell out across multiple channels including direct stores, electronic multiples and partner stores with a minimum of 12-15 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Must Have Skills:
  • Multi-channel sell out experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to develop strategies.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
  • Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned zone.
  • Strong understanding of regional markets and customer behavior.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
