ISS India Opens Chennai Office, Plans to Hire Locally

The company will focus on hiring local talent as it works to support South India’s business ecosystem.

ISS Facility Services India, a Mumbai-based company offering integrated facilities management solutions, announced the opening of its new office in Chennai. The company is a subsidiary of Denmark-based workplace experience company ISS A/S. This office opening further expands its Indian footprint which encompasses 45,000 employees across the country.

ISS provides organizations with tools and services to enhance savings, compliance, experiences, strategy innovation, brand reputation and more. Its Indian operations primarily serve the financial services, technology and professional services and industry and manufacturing sectors.

The company’s new office is sustainably designed, incorporating practices like eliminating single-use plastics, implementing paperless processes through digital tools as well as employing motion sensors and high-efficiency HVAC systems. Tha facility has a biophilic design and incorporates natural elements to improve air quality and employee well-being.

“Chennai is a vibrant hub of opportunity for ISS, and our new office embodies our strategic vision to deepen our presence in this dynamic market,” Aksh Rohatgi, the Asia Pacific region managing director of ISS A/S, said in a statement. “This expansion enhances our capability to meet the evolving needs of our clients while reinforcing our commitment to innovation and excellence within South India’s business ecosystem.”

The new facility is designed to support ISS’s regional operations, allowing it to provide integrated facility management solutions to clients across IT, banking and other verticals. ISS will focus on local hiring to capitalize on Chennai’s talent pool and staff its new office.
