The Engineer is responsible for design validation, compliance with standards, supporting simulations, calculations, and tests, and reporting task progress in the automotive sector.

R&D trainee internship within Valeo's Artificial Intelligence organization. Support AI research and development projects, collaborate with engineers, assist in prototyping, experiments, and documentation, and gain hands-on experience in mobility-related AI solutions.

Lead purchasing activities for projects from pre-sourcing through SOP: prepare sourcing plans, run RFQs and auctions in PuMa, select and assess suppliers, manage contracts and supplier design reviews, drive productivity and purchasing indices, ensure transfer to serial production and maintain documentation in PuMa and SAP.

Lead and coordinate R&D mechatronics activities for a project: manage budget, headcount, BOM delivery, RFQ/quotations, and ensure DV/PV sample maturity. Oversee robust design for manufacturing/validation, run design and technical reviews, deliver DFMEA/DV/PV/EOL specs, manage QRQC and critical items, represent function to customers, and manage contributors to meet on-time deliveries and efficiency targets.

Design and execute mechanical engineering solutions within defined projects (Newness levels 1-2); support problem solving using QRQC, prepare technical documentation, apply design standards, coach junior engineers, adopt digital tools, contribute to continuous improvement and identify potential IP.

Analyze, design and improve internal and external material and transportation flows; develop tools, equipment, packaging and layouts; troubleshoot production flow issues; support quality, safety and Valeo Production System implementation; drive cost-reduction plans and carrier negotiations; provide operational support and performance indicators for site supply chain.

Lead and coordinate a platform simulation team for lighting controller platforms. Own thermal, mechanical and rheology simulation planning, methods, validation, and reporting. Define simulation strategies, assign and validate simulation activities, improve and standardize methods, support cross-discipline reviews, correlate simulations with test results, and participate in RFQs and design-to-cost initiatives.

Lead IT governance, KPI tracking, SLA and major-incident reporting, and service catalog maintenance. Coordinate with service delivery teams, drive problem management and RCAs, identify automation and continuous improvement opportunities, and produce leadership IT governance presentations.

Provide Level 2 mechanical CAD support and coordination for R&D users and COE centers. Support and troubleshoot CATIA V5 functionalities, collaborate with team members, and communicate with key users to resolve CAD-related issues.

Lead product security incident response for automotive ECUs and platforms: triage vulnerabilities, perform root-cause analysis and forensics, assess risk (ISO 26262), develop IR plans, advise OEMs on patches, and communicate technical and executive incident updates.

Responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring material availability, planning requirements based on forecasts, and improving supplier service rates in the supply chain.

Develop, research, benchmark, test and document state-of-the-art autonomous driving and vision algorithms, support IP and design reviews, and adapt DL/ADAS algorithms for embedded automotive platforms while improving processes and training colleagues.

Lead technical execution and problem solving for engineering projects (Newness levels 2-3). Coach and mentor discipline engineers, develop design standards, drive digitalization and continuous improvement, communicate with customers, share technical knowledge cross-functionally, contribute innovative solutions and IP filings, and manage budget commitment for projects.

Perform mechanical engineering tasks for automotive projects: execute technical solutions, support problem solving using QRQC, produce technical documentation, apply design standards, adopt digital tools, contribute to continuous improvement and IP awareness, and coach junior engineers.

Support senior engineers in mechanical development projects by applying discipline design processes for standard designs, producing technical documentation, analyzing data, adhering to digitalization tools, monitoring budgets, and identifying process improvements while developing technical skills and communicating with stakeholders.

The role oversees electronic project delivery, manages team coordination, budgets, schedules, deliverables, risks, and ensures production quality while facilitating project meetings and documentation integrity.
