Our typical day: We are considered as a Digital ACOE for payment integrity by 5 of top 10 health insurance companies. We deal with billions of records each month. We do not charge these clients any consulting or resource-based billing upfront unlike typical analytics service companies, instead we make money by finding money/savings for these insurance companies. Position Overview: EXL Healthcare is seeking an NLP Researcher/Engineer with expertise in the latest generative AI/NLP stack to join our cutting-edge AI team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong passion for NLP and machine learning, demonstrated experience with large-scale text data, and a track record of building high-performance models.  You will be responsible for developing and implementing state-of-the-art NLP models and algorithms, including Large Language Models (LLM). Working closely with a team of data scientists, engineers, and domain experts, you will create solutions that extract valuable insights from complex datasets, directly impacting our products and services.  Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy NLP models and algorithms, including LLM.  Preprocess and clean large text datasets for analysis and modeling.  Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand data patterns.  Implement machine learning and deep learning models to solve NLP problems.  Optimize and fine-tune LLM/DL models for performance and scalability.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate NLP solutions into products and services.  Stay up to date with the latest research in NLP, machine learning, and LLMs.  Communicate findings and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders through reports, presentations, and visualizations.  Required Skills: Strong background in NLP, machine learning, and experience with LLMs.  Proficiency in Python and SQL.  Experience with NLP libraries/frameworks such as NLTK, spaCy, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.  Familiarity with data preprocessing techniques for large-scale text data.  Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).  Experience with LLM fine-tuning, RAG, PEFT, or Agent frameworks is a plus.  Preferred Skills: Experience with fine-tuning and deploying transformer-based models for various NLP tasks.  Knowledge of transfer learning and domain adaptation techniques for NLP.  Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.  Experience with deploying models, including LLMs, in a production environment.  Education: Bachelor’s and/or Master's in any Science/Engineering field.  About the TeamEXL is the indispensable partner for leading businesses in data-led industries such as insurance, banking and financial services, healthcare, retail and logistics.
