The Opportunity:
For the first time, we are opening doors for highly skilled GPP 5G L1/L2 systems designers in India to be part of our global development teams. This is your chance to contribute directly to the evolution of Ericsson 5G NR and play a critical role in defining how millions connect and communicate worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform systemization for features in Scheduler, Radio Physical Layer and Radio Resource Management for radio functions like Beam Forming, Massive MIMO, Carrier Aggregation, Dynamic Spectrum Sharing
- Specify new 5G system features and functions, including requirements, test cases, algorithms, use cases, parameter settings and address any interactions with legacy features and functionality
- Develop software simulations for the performance analysis of features and algorithms either link-level or network-level simulations.
- Drive continuous improvements of products, simulation tools and processes
- Support system verification and perform analysis of test results with respect to operator KPIs.
- Support the deployment of new 5G & 6G products and features into customer networks. Work with Customer troubleshooting and analysis. Understand customer configurations and issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong background in communications theory and digital signal processing
- Solid understanding of LTE & NR 3GPP specifications, especially in the areas of the Physical Layer, Radio Resource Management and Mobility
- Experience in SW development for Link and Network Simulations. Languages include: Java, C and C++, Python, matlab
- 5+ years of experience in doing System & Link Level Simulation or 10+ years telecom software development with specialization in 5G L2 Algorithms conceptualization, design, and development with strong fundamental on L1 blocks and concepts
- Analytical mindset and result orientation to deliver even when under pressure• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and manage many different projects at once
- M.Tech. or Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronics, or related field, preferably with proven experience and knowledge in the above- mentioned required skills areas
