What We'll Bring:

5+ years of hands-on development experience with Ab Initio, Linux, SQL and relational databases.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of advanced Ab Initio concepts such as project architecture, parallelism, meta-programming, vectors, performance tuning, debugging, SMP/MPP architectures, platform integrations (Hadoop, Java, C, etc.).
Participate in development and maintenance of code to ensure consistency, quality, best practices and performance of applications.
Experience with the broader Ab Initio tool suite like Express>IT, Control Center.
Ability to work in collaborative teams located across the globe and cross-functional technologies.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.

What You'll Bring:

  • Design, Development, Test and Support of Data Processing applications, Internal platforms/frameworks or customized solutions using Ab Initio and other Data management tools.
  • Enhance, support, implement, provide governance for TransUnion’s Data Acquisition platform globally across the organization.
  • Enhance and support TU’s Inner Sourcing framework for Ab Initio based applications using scripting languages such as python, korn etc.
  • Involved in code reviews as a technologist for TransUnion application teams globally.
  • Be an SME on the products in Ab Initio Product Suite like Control Center, Metadata Hub, Express>IT etc.
  • Champion the TU Development best practices and standards throughout the company and ensure the consistent implementation of TU design patterns, frameworks, and architectural standards  within  applications.
  • Work with internal customers and staff to identify pain points/key constraints within existing processes that can benefit from reusable solutions, and deliver solutions addressing those pain points.

Impact You'll Make:

Good to Have :

  • Experience in AWS or Azure Cloud preferred.
  • Experience in Agile teams is a plus.
  • Experience with C, Java, Big Data tools such as Hive and Spark is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, automation experience a plus.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
