Key Responsibilities:- Manage and administer Adabas database systems in a mainframe environment.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Perform database backups, recovery operations, and disaster recovery planning.
- Implement security protocols to safeguard data integrity and prevent unauthorized access.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database performance and support application needs.
- Document database configurations, processes, and maintenance activities for compliance and reference.
- Provide technical support and expertise regarding Adabas and mainframe systems.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Adabas DBA or Mainframe DBA, with a strong understanding of mainframe technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Adabas database architecture and administrative functions.
- Experience with performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting in a mainframe environment.
- Familiarity with relevant programming languages and tools related to database management.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in database administration are a considerable advantage.
