Job Title

Fiserv is seeking a Mainframe Automation Engineer that has extensive experience in mainframe system automation technologies.  This individual should be self-motivated and driven to help contribute toward the success of our mainframe technology initiatives.  This person will work in a team environment supporting multiple systems in a highly redundant and robust mainframe environment.
 
Responsibilities Include
 
• Create and Maintain OPS/MVS REXX rules, SSM tables, and programs
• Resolve Automation issues
• Collaborate with other infrastructure, application, and operations areas on their automation needs.
• Provide support during z/OS Upgrades
• Participate in DR recovery and testing
• Work with vendors for system support and problem resolution
• Provide 12X5 on-call support as part of a team rotation
• Ability to learn new automation technologies such as Python, Groovy/Java, and Jenkins Pipelines.
 
Basic Qualifications
 
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
At least 12 + years of experience with mainframe technologies
 
Preferred Skills/Experience
Extensive experience in:
• Mainframe technologies
• Technical troubleshooting of OPS/MVS issues
• Complex z/OS Sysplex environments
• Automating mainframe tasks across our environment.
Subject matter expert in:
• REXX Programming
• OPS/MVS
• IPL and shutdown processing
• Subsystems such as CICS, IMS, JES2, MQ, and DB2
• HMC operations
• JCL
• Knowledge of BMC products.
