About the Job
As an AI SEO Associate Analyst your mission is to drive the discoverability and digital performance of Vendasta’s clients by applying cutting-edge SEO techniques, including local search strategies and generative engine optimization. This role blends traditional SEO fundamentals with AI-driven insights and tools to improve performance in both organic search and AI-powered discovery elements. The AI SEO Associate Analyst role is ideal for an early-career SEO practitioner who is eager to learn modern strategies, deliver high-quality work, and improve efficiency through AI-enabled automation and insights.

In this role, you will follow established SEO processes, contribute to content optimization, backlink analysis, and keyword research, and use AI tools under guidance to scale repeatable tasks, improve data interpretation, and enhance reporting accuracy. The ideal candidate for this role should be a champion of AI solutions and comfortable implementing them into SEO workflows.

Your Impact:
As an AI SEO Associate Analyst, you will:

• Implement SEO recommendations across webpages, blog content, and website structures using defined playbooks and AI-enhanced checklists.
• Conduct keyword research and content mapping using platforms like SE Ranking, Surfer SEO, and ChatGPT with pre-defined prompts.
• Optimize content to perform well on AI-powered search tools like voice assistants and Generative Search by using clear, structured answers that are easy for these platforms to understand and feature.
• Apply on-page optimization tactics, including metadata updates, content enhancements, and internal linking strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., content, marketing ops) to embed SEO guidance during campaign and asset creation.
  
• Conduct local keyword research and implement city, region, and service-area targeting using Google Business Profile & Bing Places and local directory integrations.
• Assist in executing link-building campaigns with AI-supported prospecting and outreach templates.
• Monitor and evaluate backlink health using tools similar to Ahrefs or SEranking, and support remediation efforts.
• Track competitor backlink profiles and contribute ideas for off-page SEO opportunities.
  
• Track and report on key SEO performance metrics (e.g., keyword rankings, organic traffic, click-through rate).
• Use AI-generated summaries to support the creation of monthly performance reports and dashboards.
• Run basic A/B tests or audits with support and document results for internal and client review.
• Use generative AI tools to assist with keyword clustering, content ideation, meta tag generation, and reporting outlines.
• Follow structured AI prompt libraries created by senior team members and provide feedback for refinement.
• Participate in testing new AI tools or prompts and support documentation, and knowledge sharing

What you bring to the table:

• 1–3 years of experience in SEO, digital marketing, or a related role
• Foundational knowledge of SEO principles: on-page, off-page, and technical
• Proficiency with tools like SEranking, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Moz, or Ahrefs
• Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress and basic understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript
• Ability to analyze SERPs, content gaps, and competitor strategies using AI and non-AI tools

• Experience using or willingness to learn AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Surfer SEO) for research and automation
• Follows team-developed AI prompts for consistency and quality
• Coachable and proactive in improving prompts, outputs, or tools used for SEO work

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for task updates, documentation, and collaboration
• Works well across teams to support SEO deliverables in content, marketing, and client services contexts
• Proactive in asking questions, raising blockers, and suggesting improvements
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
• Certifications in SEO platforms (e.g., SEranking, Google Analytics, Google Ads) are an asset.
• Understanding of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), including content structuring techniques to improve visibility in AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Bing Copilot, and voice search tools.
• Experience with Local SEO strategies, including NAP consistency, map-pack optimization, Google Business Profile enhancements,  Bing places for business and geo-targeted landing pages.
• Attention to detail and analytical mindset for identifying localized information to impact highly successful SEO Campaigns.
  
• Familiarity with additional website CRM platforms is an asset
