Airbus Helicopters España S.A. (AHE) integrates the Rotorcraft activities in Spain being a tractor company of other Spanish entities that participate in the Rotatory wing Aircraft Industry.

EBSTIF perform Design and Stress activities participating in all the phases of the product, from specification to customer in-service support: conceptual and detail design, support to production (non-conformity assessment, generation of documentation needed for manufacturing, etc.), support to testing activities, generation of evidences for certification/qualification purposes and costumer support.

We are looking for an Airframe Innovation Manager to join our dynamic and engaged team to manage national and international R&T projects by integrating innovative technologies and implementing disruptive solutions. 

Job description:

  • Responsible for designing, implementing, and managing innovation projects in the fields of Helicopter structures.  
  • Lead the AHE R&T strategy definition
  • Work closely with development teams and domain experts to transform innovative ideas into specific solutions, aligned with the R&T roadpmap for AHE at Airframe level.
  • Identify innovation opportunities and propose solutions.
  • Design and oversee end-to-end projects
  • Monitor technological trends and market developments in the Airframe field.
  • Develop prototypes and proofs of concept to test and validate new ideas.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, procurement and resources for innovation projects.
  • Present innovation projects to external stakeholders.
  • Conduct technological watch and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Rotorcraft structures.
  • Manage, encourage and inspire the R&T team
  • Ensure the technical skills and competences are kept in the department
  • Develop and Disseminate patents
  • Understand the impact of his/her activity in the AHE R&T roadmap and its value for the future projects.

Your technical profile:

  • Educated in Engineering degree in Aeronautical field or similar with experience (>10 years) in Aircraft Structure design or Stress field.
  • Ability to turn innovative ideas into practical solutions.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Advanced English level

  • Synthesis and writing skills.
  • Team management / coordination.
  • Ability to lead a meeting.
  • Rigor and organization.
