Job Purpose: Executive - Airside Operations is responsible for coordinating and supporting airside activities, ensuring safe and efficient operations. This role is crucial for managing aircraft movements, liaising with pilots and ground crew, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Key responsibilities include overseeing ground support equipment, monitoring airside operations, facilitating timely aircraft arrivals and departures, and responding to emergencies.

Responsibilities

Aircraft Movement Coordination:

Direct aircraft to and from gates, taxiways, and runways, ensuring compliance with air traffic control instructions in case of requirements.

Monitor aircraft positions, communicate effectively with pilots and ground crew, and resolve any issues promptly to enhance operational efficiency.

Ground Support Equipment Management:

Ensure all ground support equipment (GSE) is in good working condition, coordinating regular maintenance schedules.

Ensure roadworthiness of GSE, such as tugs, baggage carts, and refuelling trucks, to support aircraft operations and prevent delays.

Compliance with Safety Regulations:

Conduct regular safety audits, implement safety protocols, and provide training to staff on safety procedures.

Monitor airside activities to identify potential hazards, taking corrective actions promptly to maintain a safe operating environment.

Emergency Response Coordination:

Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure effective communication with emergency services.

Oversee evacuation procedures and provide support to affected individuals to minimize the impact of emergencies.

Runway and Taxiway Maintenance:

Coordinate routine inspections, schedule repairs, and manage the removal of debris or hazards from runways and taxiways.

Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure all surfaces are well-maintained and meet safety standards for smooth aircraft operations.

Traffic Management:

Monitor and manage the movement of vehicles and personnel on the airside to ensure safe and efficient operations, minimizing the risk of collisions and ensuring smooth traffic flow.
