The Position

About Us:

Roche has established the Global Analytics and Technology Center of Excellence (GATE) in India to drive analytics & technology-driven solutions by partnering with Roche affiliates across the globe.

The Opportunity:

  • Work in collaboration with a team to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of multiple datasets

  • Evaluate datasets for consistency, completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness

  • Interact with stakeholders and other teams to obtain data requirements for new and existing applications

  • Generate qualitative/quantitative reports that communicate the key takeaways in an easy-to-understand manner

  • Develop process improvements for data management activities

  • Perform data analysis using statistical tools

  • Generate data reports periodically for stakeholders

  • Address any issues, questions, and problems in an accurate and timely manner

  • Perform data cleansing and harmonizing to enable analysts to perform statistical analysis

  • Audit data regularly and ensure data integrity

Additional responsibilities of a Tech Analyst include:

  • Ability to take complete ownership and work independently to add value in a dynamic environment

  • Collaborate with the team to understand stakeholders’ priorities/needs and be able to deliver with a quick turnaround

  • Help the team prioritize across competing stakeholders' requests to ensure focus on activities of the highest importance

  • Contribute to the internal initiatives and help grow the GATE team

Who You Are:

  • 2+ years of relevant data management/software programming experience.

  • Knowledge of statistical data analysis tools such as R & Python, SQL, Excel, and VBA is a must, and SAS is nice to have

  • Experience in Big Data Analysis with Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc., is a plus

  • Exposure to cloud-based data environments such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Azure - particularly in working with data warehouses, analytics, or ETL pipelines is highly desirable

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly motivated, learning-oriented, and quality-focused individuals would be preferred

  • Be able to perform basic analysis on big data (mandatory), and having strong expertise in big data technologies and concepts is a plus

  • Prior experience in the Healthcare / Life science / Pharma / Biotech domain would be a big plus

  • Bachelor’s Degree (computer science, engineering, or other technical disciplines)

  • Master’s Degree – Good to have
