About the Role

Serotonin is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join our APAC team as a strategic operations specialist. This role focuses on driving operational efficiency and profitability for APAC clients by developing and executing effective processes across teams. The ideal candidate has a proven record in creating streamlined operations for marketing teams and will manage project organization, task coordination, and deadlines for client projects. They will oversee team bandwidth and collaborate with APAC strategic leads to ensure key deliverables. Reporting directly to the APAC Marketing Director, this person is based in Japan and actively engaged in the local web3 community.


The ideal candidate is deeply embedded in the local Web3 community, leveraging a strong network of contacts and strategic expertise to promote, expand, and tailor our services to the specific needs of the local market. They will also play a pivotal role in strategically expanding our existing client base within these markets. Moreover, they possess the vision and skillset to drive scalable growth on a global level.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely delivery of client work, overseeing all aspects of strategic client accounts including project management, documentation, timelines, resource allocation, and profitability
  • Leverage PR expertise and deep knowledge of web3 media to craft impactful narratives, boost brand visibility, and foster authentic connections within Japan’s local web3 community
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with local web3 media, industry leaders, and influencers to amplify reach
  • Develop and refine a streamlined client operations process, from kickoff to project closure, collaborating closely with the APAC Marketing Director on project needs and execution
  • Set deadlines, update project management software, and follow up with internal and external teams to maintain operational efficiency
  • Guide team adherence to processes and timelines established by Serotonin, serving as the primary contact for client communications and issues
  • Manage meeting logistics, including agendas, note-taking, follow-up actions, and regular updates on OKRs, KPIs, and quarterly reviews
  • Distribute key strategic documents to Marketing Directors or advisors and flag delivery issues to leadership for prompt resolution

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in client services operations within a marketing environment
  • Agency experience required, with a preference for PR or digital agencies
  • Proficiency in the local language and strong fluency in English are essential for this role, given the need for precise translation and active communication with clients
  • Actively engaged in the local web3 community, with demonstrable involvement
  • Proven ability to develop and grow client relationships over time
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, paid media, CRO, and related areas
  • Experience in effectively supporting high-performing teams
  • Exceptional communication skills
