The Archer Specialist will be responsible for end‑to‑end implementation, configuration, and support of the RSA Archer GRC platform. This role involves working closely with business, risk, compliance, and IT teams to design solutions, build applications and workflows, integrate Archer with enterprise systems, and ensure the platform effectively supports the organization’s Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) needs.
Solution Design & Implementation
- Understand business requirements across risk, compliance, audit, security, and IT functions.
- Design Archer solutions and application structures aligned to GRC processes and frameworks.
- Configure and customize Archer applications, fields, layouts, workflows, and notifications.
- Implement out‑of‑the‑box and custom use cases (e.g., Enterprise Risk, Issues Management, Policy Management, Third‑Party Risk, Audit Management).
- Understand business requirements across risk, compliance, audit, security, and IT functions.
Platform Configuration & Administration
- Perform day‑to‑day administration of the Archer platform including user management, access control, roles, and groups.
- Configure and maintain data driven events (DDEs), calculated fields, cross‑references, and advanced workflow.
- Manage instances, environments (Dev/Test/Prod), and participate in deployment and release activities.
- Monitor platform performance, conduct health checks, and coordinate with infrastructure teams for optimization.
- Perform day‑to‑day administration of the Archer platform including user management, access control, roles, and groups.
Integration & Data Management
- Design and implement integrations between Archer and other enterprise systems (e.g., SIEM, ticketing, CMDB, HR systems, ERP, reporting tools).
- Work with APIs, data feeds, and ETL processes to import/export data into Archer.
- Define and manage data models, hierarchies, and relationships within Archer to support reporting and analytics.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across applications.
- Design and implement integrations between Archer and other enterprise systems (e.g., SIEM, ticketing, CMDB, HR systems, ERP, reporting tools).
GRC Process Enablement
- Translate GRC policies, standards, and procedures into Archer workflows, questionnaires, and assessments.
- Support implementation of risk frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, SOX, PCI, GDPR) within Archer solutions.
- Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to streamline processes such as risk assessment, control testing, issue remediation, and attestations.
- Provide recommendations to improve automation, repeatability, and efficiency of GRC processes using Archer.
- Translate GRC policies, standards, and procedures into Archer workflows, questionnaires, and assessments.
Support, Maintenance & Enhancements
- Provide Level 2/3 support for Archer incidents and service requests.
- Troubleshoot application and workflow issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Plan and execute platform upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal business disruption.
- Implement enhancements and change requests based on stakeholder feedback and evolving business needs.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for Archer incidents and service requests.
Reporting, Dashboards & Analytics
- Design and build reports, dashboards, and scorecards to meet stakeholder and management reporting needs.
- Configure drill‑through views, KPIs, and trend analysis within Archer.
- Support periodic risk and compliance reporting, management summaries, and regulatory/regulator reporting as needed.
- Design and build reports, dashboards, and scorecards to meet stakeholder and management reporting needs.
Stakeholder Management & Documentation
- Work closely with business owners, process owners, and technical teams to gather requirements and validate solutions.
- Conduct user training, knowledge transfer sessions, and create user guides and SOPs.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation on configurations, integrations, workflows, and release notes.
- Participate in workshops, steering committees, and governance forums for Archer roadmap and prioritization.
- Work closely with business owners, process owners, and technical teams to gather requirements and validate solutions.
- 7–8 years of total experience, with strong hands‑on expertise in RSA Archer GRC platform (implementation and administration).
- Proven experience in:
- Configuring applications, fields, layouts, workflows, DDEs, calculated fields, and dashboard development.
- Implementing multiple Archer use cases/modules (e.g., Risk, Compliance, Third‑Party, Issues, Audit).
- Managing user access, roles, groups, and platform administration.
- Configuring applications, fields, layouts, workflows, DDEs, calculated fields, and dashboard development.
- Strong understanding of GRC concepts:
- Enterprise risk management, IT risk, compliance management, policy management, vendor risk, audit processes.
- Common control frameworks and standards (ISO, NIST, SOX, etc.).

- Technical skills:
- Experience with SQL, data modeling, and query/report optimization.
- Familiarity with APIs, REST/SOAP, web services, and data integration methods.
- Exposure to scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation is an advantage.

- Background in Information Security, Risk Management, Compliance, or Internal Audit.
- Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., BFSI, Telecom, Healthcare).
- Familiarity with other GRC tools and ability to support migrations to Archer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field(or equivalent professional experience in GRC and Archer platform administration).
