Architect - AI/ML Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Architect / Lead Engineer to join our dynamic AI/ML engineering team to build the next gen applications for our global customers. If you are a technology enthusiast and highly passionate, we are eager to discuss with you about the potential role. 

Responsibilites

• Collaborate with data scientists and other AI professionals to augment digital transformation efforts by identifying and piloting use cases.  

• Discuss the feasibility of use cases along with architectural design with product functional teams and translate the product vision into realistic technical implementation. At the same time, bring attention to misaligned initiatives and impractical use cases. 

• Align technical implementation with existing and future requirements by gathering inputs from multiple stakeholders and developing processes and products based on the inputs. 

• Play a key role in defining the AI architecture and selecting appropriate technologies from a pool of open-source and commercial offerings. Select cloud, on-premises or hybrid deployment models, and ensure new tools are well-integrated with existing data management and analytics tools. 

• Audit AI tools and practices across data, models and software engineering with a focus on continuous improvement. Ensure a feedback mechanism to assess AI services, support model recalibration and retrain models.  

• Work closely with audit, security and risk leaders to foresee and overturn risks, such as training data poisoning, AI model theft and adversarial samples, ensuring ethical AI implementation and restoring trust in AI systems. Remain acquainted with upcoming regulations and map them to best practices.  

• Engage with data product managers, software engineers, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to pinpoint opportunities for leveraging AI/ML to enhance operational efficiency.  

• Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence, and actively shape the application of AI/ML within the life science industry.  

• Provide mentorship to team of AI/ML engineers, fostering a collaborative environment conducive to ongoing research and development. 

• Preferred experience in the life science domain or a related field.  
• 6+ years of proven expertise in AI/ML architecture and Pipeline, demonstrating a history of architecting, managing progressively complex projects.  
• Strong experience with Data Management / Big Data, Data Science and Analytics. 
• Proficiency in one or more AI/ML domains, including NLP, text analytics, deep learning, generative AI, or related areas.  
• Demonstrated ability to develop, deploy, evaluate, and monitor machine learning models to tackle real-world challenges.  
• Strong programming capabilities in Python.  
• Familiarity with GenAI tools like Langchain, LlamaIndex, and open-source Vector DBs.   
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.  
• Familiarity with MLOps platforms such as Kubeflow or MLFlow is advantageous.  
• Knowledge of ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch is a plus.  
• Experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practices.  
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
