Staff or Architect Back End Engineer
We are seeking an energetic and talented Expert Level Backend Engineer. This individual will have very strong Java and design skills. She/he will be part of a fast-paced team whose mission is to enhance and optimize the purchase experience.
Key Job Functions
- Lead, coach and mentor team of 5-8 full stack and backend engineers
- Actively participate and lead the technical requirements analysis, design review, contract closure with cross-functional teams across the globe.
- Write high quality code
- Champion coding standards and re-usable components
- Influence the technical direction of the engineering team
- Partner with Product Managers in designing and defining new features
- Serve as a key member of a Scrum team
- Participate in and identify architectural improvements, code review, best practices, delivering testable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions.
- Participate and potentially lead Communities-of-Practice programs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of large-scale distributed ecommerce systems experience
- Expert understanding of Java, database, and messaging technologies
- Enthusiasm for constant improvement as a Software Engineer
- Ability to communicate clearly effectively and motivate team members
- Reactive Java a plus
- Passionate about Ecommerce and retail a plus
