Assistant Manager - Environment, Health and Safety
Roles & Responsibilities:

  • To advice the concern department in planning and organizing measures necessary for the effective control of personal injuries.
  • To advise and assist the factory management in the fulfilment of its obligation, statutory or otherwise, concerning prevention of personal injuries and maintaining safe working environment
  • To carry out plant safety inspections in order to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices and procedures followed by workers and to render advice on measures to be adopted for removing the unsafe physical conditions and preventing unsafe action by worker
  • To investigate the dangerous occurrence reported under rule Factories Act, 1943 and case of industrial diseases contracted by any of the workers employed in the factory reportable under this act
  • To develop CAPA mechanism for Aptiv look across incidents.
  • To run Aptiv EHSS global strategy framework effectively
  • To co-ordinate and meet customer EHSS requirements effectively.
  • To advice on maintenance of such records as are necessary relating to accident, dangerous occurrences, and industrial diseases
  • To organize in association with the concerned department, campaigns, competitions, contests, and other activities, which will develop and maintain the interest of the workers in establishing and maintaining safe conditions of work procedures
  • To ensure information regarding local legal compliance is current (knows, understands, and communicates)
  • To coordinate the EHS external audits, Planning and executing the internal audits. Proposing initiatives and actions to increase the plant EHS performance.
  • To Monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situation and developing measures to assure personnel safety.
  • To maintain the ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards with the help of local team.
  • To excel in daily EHS message communication To coordinate for Management EHS walk and ensure its compliance through follow-up mechanism

Education & Qualification :

  • Graduate in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical)
  • Govt. Approved Advanced Diploma in Industrial safety
  • Min 3 - 5 years’ experience in manufacturing Industry
  • Total experience of 7-10 years
