Job Purpose and Impact
Cargill is seeking an Associate Application Developer to support the management, quality, and reliability of product‑related data within SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). This role focuses on PLM‑specific data structures and relationships that support specifications, recipes, engineering records, and related data processes. The associate will support data loading, migration, validation, and automation activities, while working closely with functional, technical, and integration teams. This position is part of a product team focused on scaling and stabilizing SAP PLM usage across multiple areas of Cargill's business.
Key Accountabilities
  • APPLICATION CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT: Maintains routine application configurations to meet user and business requirements while supporting development of improvements to standard and basic application support processes and procedures.
  • APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT & DEPLOYMENT: Supports the execution of programming, configuration, testing and deployment of fixes or updates for application version releases.
  • USER COMMUNICATION & SUPPORT: Maintains effective communication channel with users and responds to standard and routine application support requests and needs.
  • APPLICATION SUPPORT: Conducts basic and less complex application support activities to deliver business outcomes.
  • STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Collaborates with multi-functional teams, including developers, product managers and business partners to help ensure configurations align with project goals.
  • INCIDENT & REQUEST MANAGEMENT: Analyzes assigned incident tickets and user requests.
  • VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Performs supporting activities to assist with software vendors relationships and contracts.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field with 2 years or more of relevant experience.
  • 0-2 years of application development or SAP experience
  • Foundational understanding of SAP concepts
  • Exposure to SAP PLM
  • Exposure to ABAP development and debugging
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to learn complex processes
  • Strong understanding of data models and lifecycle concepts
  • Expereince in data quality, validation and governance
