Associate Software Developer
About the Role
We are seeking a talented Associate Software Developer to join our growing engineering team. You will work closely with our Engineering Manager and cross-functional teams to help build scalable web applications and cloud-based solutions. This role is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills, learn from experienced engineers, and contribute to a collaborative development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable web applications using .NET Core/5+ and modern UI frameworks
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established engineering best practices
- Collaborate with engineering teams, product management, and design to implement technical solutions
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services
- Work with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) to deploy and maintain applications
- Implement automated testing strategies and participate in CI/CD pipeline development
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full software development lifecycle
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems
- Collaborate with and learn from senior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of professional or internship software development experience
- Basic proficiency in .NET framework or .NET Core/5+ development
- Exposure to modern UI frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue.js)
- Understanding of web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Azure or AWS
- Familiarity with databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar)
- Understanding of fundamental software design principles
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Knowledge of basic API concepts (REST, JSON)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Practical understanding of CI/CD concepts
- Exposure to automated testing concepts and tools
- Interest in microservices architecture
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of GraphQL as an alternative to REST
- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools
- Understanding of basic security concepts in software
- Interest in full-stack or mobile development
- A desire to learn about performance and scalability
