Job Title: Associate Software Engineer

Location: Bangalore- Manyata Tech park

Business & Team:

Enterprise Services (ES) is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service.

The Fraud Technology team is part of the Group Operations Technology and is accountable for the development, implementation and ongoing leadership of the Group’s Fraud technology platform.

Our platforms purpose is to support our Group’s business, Group Fraud Management Services, and their value proposition of providing world class fraud prevention and detection to safeguard CBA and wider community.

To ensure the Group achieves sustainable competitive advantage through efficient service management, you will need to play a key role in supporting and executing the Groups cyber strategy.

The Product owner is responsible for the end-to-end strategy & development of capability that supports product/products within a squad.  You will partner with various stakeholders internal & external to deliver initiatives to achieve a fantastic customer experience, balancing commercial outcomes and managing risk within regulatory requirements and organizational risk appetite.

You will be required to maintain and build productive relationships with:

  • Business Stakeholders, Project Sponsor, Benefits Sponsor, Change Owner, and Project Steering Group
  • Crew Leads and Chapter leads
  • Business Analysts and Solution Designer
  • Release Management Team

Administration and operational support teams

 

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Developing test strategy, test plans and estimates.
  • Analyse and translate business requirements and functional specifications into testing requirements.
  • Review and development of quality test artefacts
  • Test execution and coordinate test defect management
  • Action phase level Test Plans, as detailed within the Test Strategy
  • Provide input to Planning and scheduling for projects as detailed within the Test Strategy
  • Provide mentoring assistance to other members of the team to develop their testing competencies and skills.
  • Assist the Test Manager in the management of the test team to deliver business outcomes.
  • Coordinate test environment and data requirements to complete test execution
  • Provide test status reporting to manager and stakeholders.
  • Review and creation of test completion reports
  • Apply and promote industry best patterns and practices in Test chapter.
  • Should take ownership and be proactive in working through issues and roadblocks.

 

Essential Skills :-

  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in Functional testing, Automation
  • Strong experience in Banking domain (Fraud, Payments, Cards flow, AML, Sanctions etc are preferred).
  • Good knowledge on SOA, XML, JSON, Webservices, REST API’s, http(S), MQ/JMS, Kafka Topic, TCP/IP concepts.
  • Hands-on experience in integration testing and experience in one of the tool CA DevTest (preferable), SOAPUI, Postman, TOSCA, Selenium Automation.
  • Strong experience in any databases (Oracle is preferred) and solid ANSI SQL experience.
  • Comfortably working in Linux environments.
  • Comfortably working with process management tools such as JIRA/Confluences as well as code repository management tools such as Git.
  • Basic programming skills preferable in Java (or C#).
  • Willing to take ownership and proactive in working through issues and road Blockers.
  • Knowledge on SAS (SAS FM) - Nice to have.

 

Educational Qualification:-

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
