Title: Associate Software Engineer

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Development: Write efficient, maintainable, and reusable code for both front-end and back-end applications, leveraging Java, RDBMS, and NoSQL.
  • Cloud Integration: Assist in developing and deploying applications on cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Architectural Coordination: Collaborate with architects to ensure architectural components align with performance goals and requirements.
  • API and Microservices Development: Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java frameworks like Spring Boot.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline automated build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Application Monitoring: Monitor and troubleshoot cloud-deployed applications, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with the latest trends in cloud computing and Java development.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE 

We're looking for talented Full Stack Developers with 5-6 years of professional experience and a degree in Computer Science or a related field. Our ideal candidates possess a strong foundation in Java and experience in building scalable, cloud-native applications. Proficiency in designing, developing, and deploying applications on Azure or AWS using Java-based technologies is highly valued.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or higher education level, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Sciences, and/or related field
  • Total Work Experience:  6+ years (software development), 4 years minimum,
  • Product Experience: 2 years minimum, 4+ years preferred
  • Domain Experience:  2 years minimum, 4+ years preferred

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • 5-6 years as a Full Stack Developer focused on cloud-native application development, with 3-4 years in enterprise product development.
  • Expertise in Object-Oriented Design with hands-on experience in Java, SQL Server, Spring, Spring Boot, REST services, and Microservices
  • Strong SQL skills, including experience with complex queries and stored procedures.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
  • Azure or AWS Cloud knowledge, with certifications being a plus.
  • Proficiency with test automation tools (e.g., JUnit, JMeter, Selenium/Nightwatch JS) and code quality tools like Sonar or Snyk.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with experience in troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong time management, with the ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Domain Experience: Knowledge of the insurance industry is an added advantage.

Other Requirements:

  • Travel: 0-10%
  • Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of the job location.
  • Physical: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met
