Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts (primarily using Katalon) across unit, functional, integration, performance, and security testing. Build automation frameworks, dashboards, and documentation; perform backend and API testing, SQL validation, defect tracking, and verification across SDLC phases while collaborating with delivery teams and supporting multiple concurrent projects.
The Quality Assurance Analyst [Automation] will provide support for automating manual test cases using Katalon Studio enterprise.
Responsibilities- Implement automated testing using JAVA/Java Script/Groovy
- Develop and verify automation test cases to build a system to support automation of unit, functional, performance, security, and integration testing.
- Work independently and as a member of delivery team developing and maintaining test automation scripts.
- Build dashboards for viewing test results, metrics, and other relevant testing information for appropriate project stakeholders.
- Ensure that quality processes are carried out through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Work concurrently on multiple projects, each with specific instructions that may differ from project to project.
- Develop thorough understanding of system design, data model, and functional components of large software systems.
- Actively works with other testers to gain insight and accept or provide guidance where appropriate.
- Perform application analysis, test strategy development, test case creation, test execution, defect tracking and reporting on Enterprise-level applications.
- Participate in post-production implementation verification.
Education/ Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required.
- 3+ years of Automation experience is required.
- 2+ years hands-on experience in Automation testing using Katalon Studio Enterprise
- Solid understanding of testing techniques for public, customer facing web application including cross-browser and cross-device testing.
- Strong manual back-end testing experience including database, data feeds, scheduled jobs/batch processing
- Working experience in development life cycle methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Kanban).
Skills:
- Experience creating Automation framework from scratch
- Solid understanding of test case automation systems such as Katalon, Junit, OR Selenium – Katalon strongly preferred
- Experience using keyword, test suite and profiles in KSE (Katalon Runtime Engine)Working knowledge of Postman and Postman automation for API testing
- Ability to construct basic SQL queries for data validation.
- Strong knowledge of working with and organizing object repository, keywords, profiles and locators.
- Experience with automation in mobile browser applications is a plus
- Identify regression test cases that can be automated using Katalon
- Build process documentation for the automation suites created
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to analyze complex system requirements
- Experience with performance, security, and/or accessibility testing is a plus.
- Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools
Ability:
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong backend testing experience
- Ability to identify regression test cases that can be automated using Katalon
Work Conditions/ Physical Demands:
- Normal office environnent.
