To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Automation Specialist– IT located in Chennai location.

Automation Specialist is responsible for creation, delivery, documentation, and maintenance of automation processes for Storage and Backup Support team. This role also requires providing operational support for database technologies, part of Global Data Platforms Organization and familiar with large and highly available platforms.

What a typical day looks like:

• Build and maintain centralized automation repository for Storage and Backup Team.

• Build a watchdog process for monitoring automations

• Must ensure accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools

• Responsible for automating repetitive support activities, based on standard operation procedures

• Maintains security and integrity controls

• Follow automation COE rules and procedures

• Responsible for automation scripts maintenance, controls through ITIL, SNC, Change Management

• Complies with Flex best practices and policies

• Validate the performance of a new object and release to production environment

• Well organized, hard worker with strong documentation skills

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor’s degree in any technical field of study (preferred to computer science, automation, informatics, electronics, telecommunications)

• 6-8 years of working experience on Jenkins, Ansible, scripts (PowerShell, Python, VBScript), Power BI and GIT repository.

• Understands and implements best practices for SDLC Management

• Experience with Storage and Backup operations

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Understands the requirements / specifications clearly and deliver solutions along with end-to-end process documentation

• Working Experience in DevOps

• Good to have MS SQL Server Database, T-SQL queries, functions, stored procedures and packages for integration with various automations

• Azure experience is a plus

• Flexible shifts (11am-8pm /2pm-11pm).
