The Automation Test Engineer will design and maintain automated test scripts, collaborate with teams, execute test cases, identify defects, and participate in Agile processes.
Lumel is seeking skilled Automation Test Engineers with 2 to 4 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test automation frameworks, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced product-driven environment.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
- Execute automated and manual test cases to ensure product quality.
- Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to automation framework improvements.
- Perform regression, functional, integration, and system testing.
- Ensure test coverage and maintain test documentation.
- Work in Agile/Scrum teams and participate in sprint ceremonies.
- 2–4 years of experience in software testing with a focus on automation.
- Strong knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java / Python / JavaScript.
- Experience with test frameworks like TestNG / JUnit / Mocha.
- Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman / REST Assured).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins / GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps).
- Experience in version control systems like Git.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure) is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of database testing (SQL queries).
- Experience in BI/Data Analytics testing is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
