Build and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js. Integrate databases and third-party services, ensure performance, reliability, and security, troubleshoot production issues, participate in architecture and code reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on deployment, monitoring, and CI/CD improvements.
What You ’ll Do
- You will join our high performance engineering team and contribute to building scalable backend systems, APIs, and enterprise-grade applications using Node.js technologies.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
- Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices to support modern digital applications.
- Integrate databases, third-party services, and enterprise systems.
- Ensure application performance, reliability, scalability, and security across backend platforms.
- Write reusable, maintainable, and efficient code following engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize backend performance.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical solutioning activities.
- Contribute to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We Seek In You
- 2 to 4 years of experience in Backend Development.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and Express.js.
- Experience working with MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL databases.
- Good understanding of REST APIs, API security, and integration patterns.
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with Git and Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT and OAuth.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with microservices architecture is an added advantage.
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or cloud-native application development is desirable.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is a plus.
