Overview of Role
66degrees is seeking a senior contractor to engage on a 4-month contract-to-hire remote assignment with utilization targets of 40-45 hours per week. Interested candidates should have the following required skills, the ability to hit the ground running as well as be available to start ASAP.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in developing cloud-native applications
- 5+ years of back-end development with expertise in Java is required.
- 5+ years using Spring Boot and Spring Rest Services
- Cloud experience is required (AWS, Azure or GCP); Multi-cloud experience is desired
- 2 + years of experience with Couchbase or Memorystore (or an alternative in-memory database)
- 2 + years of experience with MongoDB or Firestore (or an alternative NoSQL Database)
- Solid experience working with monolith applications and application migrations
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
- Experience with unit testing/automated testing
- Background in professional services/consulting.
- Strong communication skills
Desired
- Experience developing applications on Google Cloud Platform suite of products and services
- Experience with Terraform
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, Cloud and automation
