As part of the COO Bid Management organization, you will report to the Head of Bid Management EMEA. You’ll work with colleagues who are experts in their field, resilient, and always strive for the best as a team. Our team culture is founded on openness, empathy, collaboration and honesty.


The Role:

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in leading high-value deals and business growth? At HERE Technologies, more than 60% of our revenue is won through RFPs. As a Bid Manager, you'll play a critical role in securing those major RFP deals—leading cross-functional teams, crafting compelling proposals, and helping convert over €1 billion in pipeline opportunities into signed deals. You’ll be the central point between customers, sales, product, legal, and technical teams, making complex solutions clear, competitive, and customer-focused, in the context of exciting, large-scale projects.


Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing the bid team and process: Once a bid is qualified, you’ll form and lead a virtual team across Sales, Product Management, Professional Services, Quality, Legal, and others. You’ll define the scope, action plan, deliverables, and key RFP milestones to ensure smooth execution.

  • Defining a winning strategy: You’ll work with the bid team to shape a compelling, competitive proposal strategy, factoring in customer context, market conditions, and HERE’s Go-To-Market approach.

  • Managing bid requirements: In collaboration with the Bid Intake Manager, you’ll organize and document customer requirements to ensure a clear, efficient, and traceable response process.

  • Coordinating and governing the bid effort: You’ll lead communication and collaboration across stakeholders, ensuring alignment and managing approvals for technical and commercial aspects of the bid.

  • Supporting negotiation and refinement: After submission, you’ll coordinate customer presentations, lead refinements based on customer feedback and orchestrate negotiations until final acceptance.

  • Facilitating handover and improvement: Once a bid is awarded, you’ll oversee a smooth transition to the execution phase. You’ll also gather feedback and lessons learned to improve future bid efforts.
Who are you?

You are a customer-focused, analytical professional who can easily connect customer needs, innovative technology solutions and business impact. With a focus on structured execution, you have the ability to simplify and communicate complex ideas persuasively, both internally and externally. You are skilled in managing cross-functional teams to craft comprehensive proposals that meet customer needs - always focused on winning while protecting the company’s interests. You’ll be successful in this role with most of the following:


  •  Minimum of 5 years in a customer-facing role in embedded software, cloud platforms (SaaS/PaaS), enterprise, or industry-specific software solutions

  • Proven ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and help customers understand their business value

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to influence both customers and internal stakeholders

  • Skilled at delivering quality results under tight deadlines

  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and infrastructure

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to deliver clear and persuasive presentations

  •  Collaborative and self-directed, with strong time management skills

  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
