Join AGL’s Wind portfolio as a Blade Specialist (12-month Fixed Term Contract)
Role Overview:
This Blade Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing blade maintenance systems, providing technical analysis, and coordinating support activities to ensure the reliability and safety of our wind turbine generators. This role involves creating technical documentation, managing blade inspection and repair campaigns, and offering expert guidance to maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities:
-
Develop work instructions for blade repairs, equipment, and material storage guidelines, and other related technical documents.

Work with OEMs and third-party service providers to coordinate and execute blade inspection and repair campaigns.

Monitor and track the health and defects of the blade fleet.

Interpret blade damage reports to determine necessary actions.

Provide detailed recommendations on repair methodologies and assess the adequacy of completed repairs.

Advise technicians on the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wind turbine blades.

Lead the development of JSEAs and other safety documentation in line with wind safety systems.
Qualifications and Experience:

Demonstrated experience in interpreting blade damage reports and providing repair recommendations.

Familiarity with general planning and coordination methods.

Excellent time management skills and a strong work ethic.

Willingness to work at heights and in confined environments.
-
GWO training, working at heights, safety, manual handling, HV/LV rescue, fire awareness, first aid would be ideal but not mandatory.
