Job Title: BA - Payments (Core Banking/Retail Products)
Experience: 6–8 years in a BA role across multiple high-impact projects
Job Location: Mumbai
Job Description:
• Needs to have a thorough understanding of payment workflows, including domestic and
international payments, payment settlements, reconciliations, and exception handling.
• In-depth knowledge of core banking systems and their integration with payment systems,
including IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, UPI, and card payment networks
.• Familiarity with retail banking products, such as savings accounts, credit/debit cards,
personal loans, and related payment services.
• Experience with API integrations for seamless data exchange between payment systems,
retail banking platforms, and core banking solutions.
• Understanding of regulatory guidelines and compliance frameworks for payment
systems and retail banking operations (e.g., RBI regulations, AML/KYC standards).
• Excellent stakeholder management skills to work with internal teams, technology providers,
and external regulators.
• Experience in working in Agile Delivery methodology. Familiar with JIRA tool for
collaboration and tracking.
• Employs a continuous improvement mindset to identify and define issues or problems that
are less obvious; participates actively and constructively in brainstorming meetings where
problems are discussed and/or resolved.
• Brings structure and order to undefined or large-scale problems, making them easier to
address and solve.
• Uses systemic thinking and creativity in devising solution options for payment and retail
banking challenges.
• Evaluates relative costs, benefits, and obstacles of potential solutions before
implementing.
• Articulates or translates complex information about payments, core banking, and retail
products in a clear, meaningful, and structured way to suit the audience.

strategies to help drive strategically aligned solutions, considering aspects of risk/reward.
• Anticipates issues and risks in payment and retail product operations and acts quickly to
mitigate them.
• Builds process flows, maps customer and user journeys for payments and retail banking
initiatives.
• Handles any unforeseen roadblocks swiftly and effectively.
• Thinks ahead to identify potential risks to service or performance and deals with them
proactively, effectively manages review processes to identify quality issues early.
• Builds effective working relationships with analysis and design teams in delivery partners
and works well with external stakeholders.
• Often acts as an expert across multiple projects or programs simultaneously, guiding teams
on their requirements gathering, design, change, or implementation approaches in the
payments and retail banking domain.
• May conduct one-off business research and analysis tasks related to the program or project
scope.
