ABOUT THIS ROLE

Apex Fintech Brokerage Services seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. Leveraging skills in project management, strategic communication, financial modeling, and business analysis, the individual will contribute to the operational efficiency and innovation within our brokerage service entity. This is a dynamic role that offers exposure to fintech and financial services, fostering opportunities for growth within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.  

Duties/Responsibilities

Strategic Initiatives & Project Management:  

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.  

  • Develop project plans, track progress, manage risks, and adjust priorities as needed to ensure on-time delivery.  

  • Coordinate tasks across cross-functional teams, including technology, finance, compliance, and operations.  

  • Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams to facilitate clear communication regarding requirements and expectations.

  • Interpret business needs into actionable technical solutions while ensuring alignment between stakeholders. 

  • Develop presentations and reports to communicate project findings, roadmap updates, and recommendations to leadership or external parties.  

Business Operations & Data Analytics:  

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret business and market data to support strategy development and operational initiatives

  • Track performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate project success and operational improvement efforts.  

  • Partner with data teams to design dashboards and reporting systems that align with business needs.  

  • Document and analyze business requirements, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization.  

  • Develop standardized workflows for new processes, ensuring clear accountability, defined outcomes, and effective collaboration across cross-functional teams

  • Conduct gap analyses and root cause assessments to guide business decision-making processes.  

Financial Modeling & Reporting:  

  • Build and maintain financial models to support decision-making related to client profitability, new product launches, revenue forecasting, and cost management.  

  • Analyze financial data to identify business trends, risks, and opportunities. 

  • Collaborate with sales teams for modeling and projecting quarterly growth metrics across existing clients / pipelined prospects 

  • Collaborate with the finance team to prepare reports and presentations for senior management or stakeholders.  

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience) required

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, financial modeling, project management, or consulting within the financial services, fintech, or brokerage industries; previous experience at an Introducing Broker Dealer or Clearing Broker Dealer preferred

  • FINRA SIE License (or willinging to obtain within 90 days of employment); Series 7 license preferred

  • Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall preferred

  • Exposure to automation tools and technologies (e.g., RPA, Data pipelines) preferred

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Proficiency with business analysis tools (Excel, SQL, BI tools) and financial modeling techniques.  

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders.  

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing priorities.  

  • Analytical mindset with ability to view challenges from multiple perspectives and develop creative solutions.  

  • Basic understanding of brokerage services, financial markets, and fintech practices.  

  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements within financial services.  

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a hybrid, office environment 3 days per week.
