About the role

12 Month Fixed- Term Contract

As a Business Analyst – Electrification & Innovation at AGL, you’ll be at the forefront of our energy transformation journey. You will help shape and deliver innovative propositions, including EVs, batteries, Energy Smooth, Energy Balance, and other emerging initiatives.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will analyse business needs, translate them into clear requirements, and support solution design to ensure successful delivery across product, technology, and operations. Your insights will ensure our initiatives are customer-focused, well-defined, and practical within AGL’s systems and processes, helping us drive innovation and create meaningful impact for our customers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Shape Innovative Energy Solutions: Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements to define Electrification & Innovation propositions, ensuring they are customer-focused, commercially viable, and operationally feasible.

  • Drive Delivery Success: Support end-to-end delivery activities, including sprint readiness, backlog management, and proactively managing risks, issues, and dependencies.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Technology, Product, Operations, Pricing, and Regulatory teams to ensure alignment and seamless delivery of initiatives.

  • Translate Ideas into Action: Create clear BA artefacts such as process maps, user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria that guide design and implementation.

  • Improve and Learn: Contribute to refining delivery frameworks and agile ways of working, and support post-implementation reviews to track benefits and capture lessons learned.

About you:

  • Previous demonstrated experience working as a Business Analyst in a product, technology or operational environment.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to break down complexity and translate it into clear requirements.

  • Ability to work effectively in agile teams and contribute to delivery cadence.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate technical and business concepts clearly.

  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and delivery-focused with a customer-centric mindset.
