Description

This exciting open position is for a Business Development Specialist of MOLYKOTE® lubricants in the Electronic & Industrial business. The candidate will locate in Chennai, INDIA.

Reporting to the Sales Leader of MOLYKOTE® ASEAN/ANZ/INDIA, the candidate is tasked to execute strategic business development plan with automotive & industrial segment customers to accelerate business growths and outperform competitors in his areas of coverage: INDIA Subcontinent.

MOLYKOTE® specialty lubricants are designed and engineered to solve lubrication-related problems and save energy by reducing friction and wear. We offer a broad portfolio of specialty lubricants including greases, anti-seize pastes, multipurpose oils, specialty compounds, dispersions, anti-friction coatings and more, for a wide range of applications in automotive, industrial, appliance and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

1.           Customer Identification and Relationship Building:

              • Identify target customers and establish strong professional relationships.

• Build and maintain a customer base through networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships.

2.           Market Research and Analysis:

              • Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential customers and industry trends.

• Analyze competitors’ products, pricing, and strategies to position the technical product effectively.

3.           Technical Consultation and Solution Development:

• Collaborate directly with end customers to identify application needs and translate them into test designs and product solution recommendations.

• Provide technical support and expertise to customers, ensuring the effective application of MOLYKOTE® products.

4.           Business Development and Opportunity Identification:

• Analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities within targeted applications, such as automotive, industrial, and electronics sectors.

• Collaborate with local channel partners to achieve sales and business development goals aligned with corporate strategies.

              • Manage a pipeline of business opportunities to deliver growth in target segments.

5.           Sales Strategy and Execution:

              • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.

              • Prepare and deliver product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients.

6.           Collaboration with Internal Teams:

              • Coordinate with marketing, technical, and operations teams to align strategies.

              • Provide feedback from the market to support product innovation and improvement.

7.           Proposal and Contract Management:

              • Prepare technical and commercial proposals tailored to customer needs.

              • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with customers to close deals effectively.

8.           Compliance and Ethical Standards:

              • Adhere to DuPont’s core values and code of conduct in all business activities.

• Ensure all business development activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

These responsibilities are designed to drive the growth of DuPont’s MOLYKOTE® Specialty Lubricants in the Indian market by focusing on customer satisfaction, market expansion, and collaborative innovation.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience in a Multinational organization,
  • Experience with specialty lubricants, and work in the lubricant industry for > 3 years, total years pf experience: 5 – 10 years.
  • Proven account and channel management,
  • A team worker, and able to work independently with minimum supervision,
  • Flexibility to travel (~ 50%),
  • Possess a valid driving licence.
