Chewy seeks a Business Intelligence Analyst III to apply a broad set of technical and analytical skills in enhancing our data analytics and reporting initiatives for Fulfillment Network teams at Chewy in Boston, MA, Minneapolis, MN, Bellevue, WA, or Plantation, FL. The candidate will contribute to foundational operational metrics and reports for leadership teams. They will work with different business units in fulfillment operations and supply chain to produce high-quality data products.
Tasks include setting up data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, analyzing large datasets, investigating data anomalies, creating data visualizations, sharing insights with customers, coaching colleagues, solving complex business problems, and automating data processes.
What You'll Do:
The ideal candidate should excel in SQL and BI tools. Daily tasks involve investigating data deeply and translating findings into impactful narratives to inspire changes in delivery services. The main duties include creating operational metrics and crafting data products using BI tools. What You'll Need:
- A bachelor's or equivalent experience in information technology, engineering, statistics, computer science, business with an analytics focus, or a related field.
- 4 plus years of related full-time experience in an analyst role working on a business team, preferably in the e-commerce or retail industry.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and prior experience with data modeling and performance tuning techniques are a must-have.
- Experience with ETL techniques and BI tools (Tableau, KNIME, Control M, SSIS, Alteryx, etc.) used for data transformation.
- Monitor data pipelines for accuracy, missing data, improvements, and any other changes.
- Reconcile data issues between various systems and find opportunities to drive improvements.
- Solid knowledge of using data visualization tools (preferably Tableau) working with multiple data sources and several dashboards.
- Lead quality control and testing initiatives for deliverables produced by the Analytics team.
- Demonstrable success in interpreting data and analyzing results using statistical techniques and presenting findings to business partners across the organization.
- Experience applying statistical techniques such as hypothesis testing, correlation, classification, regression, and time series forecasting.
- Experience using machine learning frameworks in R or Python to drive process improvement is a big plus.
- Conceive, develop, and implement analytics solutions to complex business problems.
- Work with cross-functional partners in defining and documenting requirements for building high-quality and impactful data products.
- Experience with Git, Jira, and Confluence to manage source code and track project development.
- Develop and deliver communication and training plans on data analytics capabilities, standards, and processes.
- Lead the evaluation, implementation, and deployment of emerging tools and technologies to boost efficiency.
- Passionate about using data to drive innovation within a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
- Current permanent US work authorization required.
