Description

We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to design, develop, and maintain BI solutions that drive data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have experience in data modeling, dashboard development, and optimizing data pipelines to support reporting and analytics.

  • Design, develop, and maintain BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Tableau.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Optimize and maintain data models and warehouses for efficient querying and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to support BI and analytics solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all reporting solutions.
  • Automate data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes for efficiency.
  • Work with cloud-based BI solutions (AWS) and databases (SQL, Snowflake)
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to drive data initiatives.
  • Meet regularly with the line manager to review progress.
  • Manage issue resolution and critically escalate.
  • Work effectively with other teams, units, and departments.
  • Manage issues with clarity and ensure effective information flow and team working.
  • Support other organization’s priority activities, when necessary.
  • Act as an Omilia ambassador.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's (or Master’s) degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • Excellent professional level knowledge of English
  • 2+ years of experience in BI development, data visualization, or data analytics.
  • Strong experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik, etc.).
  • Experience in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Python or R for data manipulation and automation.
  • Experience with Snowflake
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, Google BigQuery, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud BI tools (AWS QuickSight, Google Data Studio, Azure Synapse, etc.).
  • Experience with data governance, cataloging, and security best practices as well as Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance
  • Exposure to machine learning workflows or advanced analytics.
  • Experience with data cataloging and metadata management.
  • Knowledge of ML, NLP and predictive analytics concepts.
