About the role
Category Specialist
As a Category Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the timely specification, procurement, and delivery of materials. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to drive value, manage risk, and ensure compliance with procurement best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Create and manage purchase and transfer orders, item codes, and inventory attributes in ERP/WMS systems.
Source products aligned with Master Supply Agreements and business deadlines.
Lead cost optimization initiatives and supplier negotiations.
Collaborate with legal, product management, and demand planning teams.
Maintain procurement systems and resolve supply inconsistencies.
Support stock management, logistics, and vendor onboarding.
Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic reviews.
Drive continuous improvement in purchasing and inventory processes.
What You’ll Bring
Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience with ERP systems and inventory management.
Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
Preferred: Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain or related field, and 4+ years’ experience in a similar role.
