Job Description SummaryRole Summary/Purpose
o Coordinate and support the main Industrial projects related to Gas-Insulated Switchgear manufacturing in alignment with PT strategy. This includes footprint evolution, capacity and industrial equipment adaptation with the associated investment plan.
o Drive the standardization of GIS manufacturing processes .

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Propose a global strategy for the GIS plants and coordinate key actions in order to  :

  • Support units for manufacturing optimization and product strategy decisions including footprint adaptation projects, capacity studies, Make or Buy Initiatives, Localization, Offshoring of parts, NPIs, Cost Out Initiatives, Design for Manufacturing, etc.
  • Lead the CAPEX approval process for the units dedicated to GIS products ensuring the alignment with PT strategy ( this includes the support from preparation to execution of CAPEX investment)
  • Lead the development and revision of existing manufacturing documents. Coordinate the deployment of standard manufacturing processes in the units with definition of training and coaching where it is necessary. Perform regular audits to identify deviations and support the units to implement the standard process defined.
  • Participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) events to identify and implement further process standardizations.
  • Build the industrial expert community for GIS to actively work as one team and identify best practices, share lessons learned and systematically updates the standard documents as per process improvements. Follow up the implementation of best practices across the units and support technical challenges in the implementation of the new process.
    Support skills & competences assessment process and propose global development plan.

Qualifications / Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Master degree in engineering, manufacturing engineering from an accredited university or College
  •  10+ year Experience in industrialization, manufacturing of GIS products;
  • Location(s):  open on the location  Europe – APAC
