Job Purpose: The Agent / Chief of Cluster is responsible for the comprehensive management, strategic planning, and operational oversight of multiple mining sites within a designated cluster. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all mining activities, aligning with the Coal Mines Regulation of 2017 and other relevant laws. The Agent / Chief of Cluster drives resource optimization, safety protocols, and stakeholder engagement, fostering continuous improvement, operational excellence, and sustainable practices across all sites.

Responsibilities

Chief of Cluster - Coal Mining

Strategic Leadership and Planning:

Provide strategic direction and leadership for the operations of multiple mining sites within the cluster.

Develop and implement long-term operational plans and initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and profitability.

Align operational plans with the company’s goals, production targets, and regulatory requirements.

Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects and expansion initiatives.

Monitor resource usage, production data, and performance metrics, making adjustments to meet changing operational needs and goals.

Overall Mine Management:

Supervise and coordinate all mining operations to ensure safe and efficient execution across the cluster.

Develop and implement operational plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and production targets.

Allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize mining operations and achieve production goals.

Ensure all mining activities comply with the Coal Mines Regulation of 2017 and other relevant laws and regulations.

Oversee daily mine operations to ensure alignment with safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Safety and Compliance:

Develop, enforce, and regularly update comprehensive safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Conduct regular safety audits and inspections at all sites to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

Promote a culture of safety, ensuring all employees prioritize safety in their daily activities.

Oversee the investigation of accidents and incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Ensure timely reporting and compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintaining up-to-date records of safety performance.

Operational Efficiency and Performance:

Monitor and evaluate the operational performance of all sites within the cluster, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

Address operational challenges and issues promptly, collaborating with site managers and other stakeholders to find effective solutions.

Promote the adoption of new technologies and innovative practices to improve mining operations and reduce operational costs.

Team Leadership and Development:

Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of site managers, engineers, and other personnel, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback to employees, supporting their professional development.

Identify training and development needs across the cluster, implementing programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Promote opportunities for career advancement and professional growth within the organization.

Monitor and evaluate employee performance, addressing any issues promptly to maintain high standards of work quality and productivity.

Stakeholder Communication and Digital Dexterity:

Coordinate with site managers, engineers, safety officers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication across the cluster.

Maintain effective communication with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, investors, and local communities.

Facilitate regular meetings and communication channels to discuss operational updates, challenges, and best practices.

Engage with local communities to address concerns and build positive relationships, fostering community trust and cooperation.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deploy digital tools that align with business objectives.

Ensure the effective utilization of digital platforms to improve team efficiency and productivity.

Environmental and Social Responsibility:
