Develop PowerShell automation and API integrations, deploy Intune and encryption controls, support Microsoft Sentinel monitoring and incident investigations, and provide security recommendations, documentation, compliance support, and Microsoft Security Copilot guidance. At EXO Edge, we are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our Information Security team. In this role, you will support the security and administration of Azure, Microsoft 365, and cloud-based applications. You will work on cloud security controls, identity and access management, endpoint security, automation, and threat protection while collaborating with IT and Information Security teams to strengthen our overall security posture.
What to expect in your journey
- Configure and administer security controls across Azure, Microsoft 365, and cloud-based applications.
- Configure, enable, and manage security policies, benchmarks, and security baselines.
- Support cloud engineering, scripting, and automation using a secure-by-design approach.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and support API integrations for security and cloud operations.
- Configure and manage Conditional Access policies and other identity security controls.
- Implement and manage Privileged Identity Management (PIM) across Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID.
- Manage security keys, vaults, security groups, and other cloud security resources.
- Deploy and manage Intune MDM, BitLocker/FileVault disk encryption, and endpoint security controls.
- Implement Shadow IT controls and manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps Discovery.
- Configure and manage email security controls and policies for threat protection.
- Support IT teams in resolving IT tickets and addressing security events and incidents.
- Provide security recommendations to identify, manage, and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Support Microsoft Sentinel SIEM/SOAR activities, including security monitoring and incident investigation.
- Maintain security documentation and provide guidance on security policies and compliance standards.
- Support the adoption and effective use of Microsoft Security Copilot.
- Stay updated on Generative AI (GenAI) security concepts, risks, and emerging security considerations.
- Collaborate with IT and Information Security teams to strengthen cloud security controls and support compliance initiatives.
What you bring to the table
- 6+ years of experience as a Azure Cloud Engineer.
- Experience in Cloud Engineering, Azure, Microsoft 365, or Cloud Security.
- Understanding of Azure security controls, Microsoft 365 security, and Conditional Access policies.
- Hands-on or working knowledge of PowerShell scripting, automation, and API integration.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps and cloud-based security controls.
- Experience with Intune MDM, BitLocker/FileVault encryption, and endpoint security controls.
- Knowledge of Privileged Identity Management (PIM) across Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel SIEM/SOAR platform.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Security Copilot.
- Familiarity with Generative AI (GenAI) security concepts and associated risks.
- Understanding of vulnerability management, security incident handling, and remediation practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with IT, Information Security, and other business stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, BCA, B.Sc. (Computer Science), or a related field.
