Role Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain reports and KPIs to provide detailed usage statistics of resources across the multi-cloud landscape.
- Advance the FinOps maturity model to the Run stage.
- Develop showback, chargeback, cost allocation, and budget forecast models using AWS-specific tools.
- Oversee and manage cloud operating budgets and chargebacks to customers.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities and collaborate with the cloud team to implement solutions.
- Manage cost anomaly alerts when expenses exceed expectations within a billing cycle.
- Develop and administer reporting and tracking systems for all TCO/economic-related activities.
- Track commercial cost analytics with third-party cloud vendors.
Skills and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in financial or operational analysis.
- knowledge of AWS Cloud services, Cost Explorer, AWS QuickSight, and AWS billing semantics, (CUR report, AWS Invoice process, Reserved Instances, Savings).
- Proficiency in MS Office – Excel, VBA, PPT, Word, and Power BI/Tableau; Python skills are a plus but not required.
- Experience in financial modeling and analysis of cloud-related spend.
- Willingness to research and self-study to maintain relevant financial and data analysis skills in a complex environment.
- Innovative and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working in a cross-functional and multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting to streamline financial processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong multitasking and deadline prioritization skills.
