Role Overview
Implement, uphold, and manage the organization's Cloud Management policies,
specifications, and infrastructure. Migrate existing on-premise applications to the
cloud, debug cloud stacks, and implement new cloud-applications. Manage and
perform continuous integration and continuous deployment processes, and cost
optimization of the private, public, and hybrid cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Service Delivery Management: Complete operational tasks, incident logging, reporting, identity and access management, cloud components monitoring and testing (e.g., networks, servers, storage, and virtualization applications), and disaster recovery to support the day-to-day cloud service delivery infrastructure.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to reviewing existing operations in own area of work and assist in identifying improvements.
  • Data Protection: Design and implement disaster recovery and contingency plans to protect company data.
  • Information Security: Support implementation of less complex required security measures, such as firewalls or message encryption, monitoring performance to notify security experts of any problems.
  • Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats.
  • Monitoring and Control: Operate installation systems, devices, and processes and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Troubleshooting: Manage production troubleshooting projects, ensuring effective diagnosis of production issues and the development of effective solutions.

Qualifications

  • 4 - 7 years’ experience in CloudOps role
  • Expertise in installing releases
  • Proficiency with Terraform (or IaC-alike tools)
  • Expertise in monitoring tools such as CloudWatch or Dynatrace
  • Experience in certificate management
  • Familiar with containerization (Docker) and cloud orchestration (AWS preferred)
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a desire to help others and take action
  • Ability to independently work as a contributing member in a high-paced and
  • focused team
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with competing deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work under
  • pressure
  • Collaborative in nature with a strong desire to dig in and learn independently and
  • as well as through asking questions
  • Experience in Window and Linux systems, CLI and scripting
  • Working experience with one or more flavors of SQL RDBMS administration and
  • scripting DDL/DML
  • Expertise in setting up IIS, Managing Windows/Web Services
